If you fly into Indianapolis and don't plan to rent a car,
If you fly into Indianapolis, rent a car, and drive to West Lafayette,
- The Lafayette Limo runs every 2 hours
beginning at 6:30 am from the Indianapolis Airport. The last one leaves at 10:30 pm.
- It has scheduled destinations at five local sites:
- The Radisson Inn, Lafayette
- The Purdue Memorial Union, West Lafayette
- Follett's Purdue West Book Store, West Lafayette
- University Inn, West Lafayette
- Lafayette Limo Office, Klondike Rd.
- Scheduled returns to the airport begin at 4:30 am from the limo office
and end at 8:30 pm.
- It does NOT take credit cards, so have cash for a one-way ticket.
- Follow baggage/ground transportation signs as you depart your plane.
- Catch the shuttle at the ground transportation center, located outside
and across the street from the number 2 baggage claim, which
belongs to Northwest Airlines.
- The ride takes about 1.5 hours depending on your drop-off destination.
If you fly into Indianapolis, rent a car, and drive to West Lafayette,
- Take I-465 north to I-65. Watch for Chicago signs and move to the left lane.
- From I-65, drive about 50 miles to Lafayette, and exit at Indiana 25.
This is the third Lafayette exit. The first one is Indiana 38, Dayton;
the second, Indiana 26, Lafayette.
- Turn left onto Indiana 25. Drive about 1.5 miles to a traffic light.
Get in the right lane. You will pass a cemetery on both sides of the road.
- Turn right onto US 52. Drive about 4.5 miles.
Go through the 1st traffic light at Duncan Rd., cross the Wabash River, go up a long hill.
Go through the 2nd traffic light.
Go through the 3rd light at Salisbury Street.
Go through the 4th light at Yeager Road.
Go through the 5th light at Cumberland Avenue (you will see a Wal-Mart on your left).
- Turn right at the 6th light at Win Hentschel Blvd. Go past the VISTECH1 sign
and turn right into the parking lot. Parking is unassigned so just find an empty
parking space. (On the outside of the VISTECH1 Bldg. in big letters is "C-SPAN.")
- Enter the VISTECH1 Bldg. via the double door vestibule and walk straght ahead until you see a stairway going up on the left. Walk up the stairs, turn left and look for Room 207 on the left. If the door to our office is closed, please ring the door bell.
If you fly into Chicago, rent a car, and drive to West Lafayette,
- Take I-294 south to I-65. Watch for Indianapolis signs.
- From I-65, drive about 120 miles, pass the West Lafayette exit, (Indiana 43).
and exit the next one, Indiana 25, Lafayette.
- Turn right ontoIndiana 25. Drive about 1.5 miles to a traffic light.
