The intent of this network is to inform interested parties of impending pesticide use cancellations and to afford those parties the opportunity to affect decision made by the pesticide registrants in concert with EPA. To the best of our knowledge the uses mentioned below will not appear on any label registered by the EPA following their expected cancellation.


The following information about the fungicide etridiazole has been obtained from Uniroyal Chemical Co. Inc.

Uniroyal Chemical Co., Inc. has announced that it plans to voluntarily cancel uses of the following fungicide and nitrification inhibitor that contain the active ingredient etridiazole.

     TERRAZOLE 4F  (a,b)           CA ONLY for control 
                                   of phytopthora on
                                   avocado and
                                   strawberry

     DWELL 4  (a)                  Nitrification
                                   inhibitor for corn,
                                   cotton, and wheat

These uses are being dropped because of (a) data development cost for reregistration and (b) due to CA requirements for SB950 and AB2021. These products have not been marketed for over 7 years.
