Volume 2, Number 7
August 19, 1992

The intent of this network is to inform interested parties of impending pesticide use cancellations and to afford those parties the opportunity to affect decision made by the pesticide registrants in concert with EPA. To the best of our knowledge the uses mentioned below will not appear on any label registered by the EPA following their expected cancellation.

aldicarb (Temik)

The EPA has proposed to revoke the tolerance for residues of aldicarb and its metabolites in or on BANANAS. Rhone-Poulenc, the basic registrant, withdrew world-wide use of this insecticide/nematicide on bananas in 1991, and has no plans to reregister it on bananas. Any comments should be sent by 10/13/92 to the Public Response Section of USEPA with reference to OPP-300249.
