The intent of this network is to inform interested parties of recent or impending pesticide use cancellations and tolerance revocations. The USEPA has proposed the revocation of the remaining tolerances for captafol, including those for APPLES, APRICOTS, BLUEBERRIES, CHERRIES(SOUR and SWEET), CITRUS FRUITS, CORN(FRESH), CRANBERRIES, CUCUMBERS, MACADAMIA, MELONS, NECTARINES, PEANUTS(HULLS and MEATS), ONIONS, PEACHES, PINEAPPLES, PLUMS(fresh PRUNES), POTATOES, TARO(corm), and TOMATOES. Most of the registrations for captafol were canceled in 1987. The one remaining intrastate registration was canceled in 1991. Written comments should be sent by 8/9/93 to the Public Response Section of the USEPA with reference to OPP-300273.

The USEPA has proposed the revocation of the remaining tolerances for chlorobenzilate, including those for CATTLE (fat, meat-by-products, meat), CITRUS FRUITS, and SHEEP (fat, meat-by-products, meat). The USEPA has proposed the revocation for all tolerances for ethylene dibromide resulting from its use as a fumigant. Tolerances affected are for inorganic bromide on or in ASPARAGUS, BEANS(LIMA), BROCCOLI, CARROTS, CAULIFLOWER, CORN(SWEET), CORN(SWEET)(forage), COTTONSEED, CUCUMBERS, EGGPLANT, LETTUCE, MELONS, OKRA, PARSNIPS, PEANUTS, PEANUTS(HAY), PEANUTS(HULLS), PEPPERS, PINEAPPLES, POTATOES, SQUASH(SUMMER), SOYBEANS, STRAWBERRIES, SWEET POTATOES, and TOMATOES; and ethylene dibromide on or in BARLEY, CORN, CORN(POP), MANGOES, OATS, RICE, RYE, SORGHUM(MILO), SOYBEANS, and WHEAT. Most uses of this soil fumigant were canceled in 1983; and all EDB products were canceled by 1987.
